30 Day Challenge – Day 21

Day 21 – The joys of sleeping or not

We are in day 2 of our girls’ trip and the sleep deprivation has begun to set in for me. The first night the girls woke up at 6 a.m. Last night they couldn’t make it happen in the same room so I slept with Arden in the bunk beds and Grace slept with Erica in the big bed upstairs, but Arden was weepy and exhausted and wanted to sleep with me in the bottom bunk! The two of us in a twin bed meant little sleep for momma! But the child slept for 9 hours, so I guess that is something.

Really praying for a restful sleep tonight or my pleasing personality may be absent tomorrow.

One would think that two days of nothing but playing in the sun and surf would wear these two out, but they seem to run on invisible magic gas and are never tired enough to stop fighting. It is a freak of nature thing to be sure. They remind me so much of Erica and I at that age…sharing the same air is a challenge. I wonder if we could enclose them in individual air pockets…and pump in “get along gas”. Someone should invent that and soon.

Praying for sleep and soon!

See ya tomorrow!
